  • After sitting here quietly for a few minutes, 5 large bucks walked up from the tree to feed on thistle.

  • Beautiful and peaceful. A lovely place to show respect to those who lived and died in Cade's Cove.

  • I've been to Cades Cove many times but somehow had missed this beautiful spot repeatedly! It is located near the end of the loop. I must not be the only one because although the loop was extremely busy, nobody else stopped while we did! This little cemetery oozes serenity, nostalgia, peace, perfect beauty, and yet is full of life! If you walk further back where the park service mows, you will find a beautiful babbling creek. The fields are full of thistle and berries and brightly colored birds. We also saw deer. We regretted we had already had our lunch because this is an ideal picnic spot.

  • The peaceful and relaxing environment makes it difficult to imagine how hard daily routines must have been when the area was first settled.
